Women and Gender Equality
Dignity Seniors Society (DSS) is proud to acknowledge the support of Women and Gender Equality Canada.
Gender equality depends on all people having the opportunity to participate fully in Canada’s economic, social and political life.
Removing systemic barriers and including all Canadians in the conversations and journey to move gender equality forward will ensure a better future for not only women, girls and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities but for everyone across Canada.
This funding builds on the progress of the Federal 2SLGBTQIA+ Action Plan.
Funding Announcement:
Women and Gender Equality
On 2025-Jan-31 Dignity Seniors Society (DSS, participating online) joined many other organizations in Montreal to hear Lisa Hepfner (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth) announce up to $41.5 million for 106 projects across four different 2SLGBTQIA+ funds.
This funding will advance equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities across Canada and address the rise in hate.
DSS is honored to be chosen as one of the recipients of Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) funding and thank them for their continued support of our important work.

Healthcare Excellence Canada
DSS also proudly acknowledges the support of Healthcare Excellence Canada (HEC). HEC collaborates with people and organizations across Canada to spread innovations, build capability and catalyze policy changes that improve healthcare safety and quality.
HEC’s Enabling Aging in Place collaborative supports organizations to implement practices that enable older adults with health and social needs to age where they call home, with formal support.
Dignity Seniors Society is proud to be one of the participating teams on this exciting project.
