Get to know our 2SLGBTQIA+ seniors
On this webpage you will find interviews and research papers that we hope will give you some insights into the lived experiences, challenges, hopes and needs of our community members.
While the acronym 2SLGBTQIA+ may unintentionally signal a single population, these individuals are unique unto themselves, but also comprise a variety of sub-populations defined by sexual orientation, gender identity, and other factors. If we think about experiences of self-identifying as 2SLGBTQIA+ and the intersections of other identities – race, culture, ability, faith etc. we can start to understand the complexities of self identification and self acceptance.
