The Ageing Matters report issued June 2024 is based on issues raised to new Seniors Advocate Dan Levitt during his ‘listening tour’ in April 2024. Mr. Levitt travelled throughout BC meeting with seniors in both rural and urban communities to hear their concerns, and met with local seniors’ service providers, volunteers and other stakeholders to learn about gaps, barriers and suggestions for improvement. Dignity Seniors Society (DSS) has signed on to the #Act4QueerSafety campaign led by Momentum Canada, which identifies six calls to action for the Government of Canada to address rising anti-2SLGBTQIA+ hate.
